Edge PR97™ Industrial FR Shirt
Description
An ever-present hazard in work environments such as smelters is the risk of burn
injuries resulting from splashes of hot material. Normal industrial clothing does
not offer sufficient protection from these extreme conditions. Tests undertaken with
materials such as cotton drill and Proban have revealed serious shortcomings in
their fire resistance. A unique fabric manufactured by leading textile manufacturer
Alliance Textiles and known as PR97™, provides the highest standards of health and
safety for secondary protective work wear. PR97™ is a world renowned leading fabric
when it comes to protection against molten metal splash, radiant and convective
heat and electric arc. PR97™ is made from natural fibres, which are inherently flame
retardant. The fabric has been developed specifically to maximise protection against
hot metal splashes. PR97™ has a natural blend of Wool and FR Viscose fibres
providing built in protection that cannot be laundered out. And because PR97™
is made from natural fibres, it breathes and transports moisture away from the skin
helping to maximise wearer comfort in all conditions.

- Single button placket front to prevent burn injuries to chest.
- Additional 100mm length in Shirt tail to prevent exposure of lower back.
- Bigger block fit for comfort.
- Two button down chest pockets with flap and LHS pen pocket.
- Regular collar.
- PR97™ Orange AS/NZS 4602:1999 compliant for daytime use.
- PR97™ tested to International Standards for performance against flame spread, convective and radiant heat, molten aluminium and iron splash and electric arc (Arc Thermal Performance Value - ASTM and NFPA 70 E).
- Options - PR97™ 380gsm/11.2oz available in Navy Blue or Orange Twill Weave.
- Options - embroidery of corporate logo/name/personnel identification. FR reflective tape affixed to AS/NZS standards.
